I am reluctantly selling my pride and joy 'little gem'. She is a waterbug 23, which has been restored to its original oak finish. I have recently restored this vessel and had the hull professionally blackened and finished inside and out at the start of this summer. During this time the hull was checked and a plate was welded on the transom. The rest of the hull was sound and thick.
This vessel sailed (excuse the pun) through its safety certificate and has just been done this year. This boat has all the fittings for gas to be installed but I decided to remove it for safety and economy. I installed a brand new origo spirit stove and have never looked back. I opted for carpet to keep the toes warm in those winter nights and recarpeted the vessel with hotel grade carpet which is water resistant and hard wearing. This is easily rolled to one side to access the hull.
The boat has a Honda 15 outboard which again has been serviced and always starts up first time and idles no problem. I take the boat out for a cruise at least once a week to fill the water tank and to keep the engine happy and singing. I really do love this boat and the only reason I am selling this boat is that I have decided to emigrate and cannot take her with me (although I have really explored every eventuality!). This boat has been my home for a year and I want her to go to someone who will care for her and continue her journey. I bought this boat as a project and have spent many an hour fixing her up and examining her so I know the boat inside out.
I have restored it to be as original as possible. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask. She is also fully licensed, insured and has a mooring that could be continued. Kind regards
