1982 Sterling Starfinder, 28.5 ft long, 10 foot 4 inches wide 1.5 BMC diesel connected to a sonic saildrive gearbox, running gear all in good working order clean engine, no excessive smoke, starts and runs well and has good oil pressure, serviced at the end of last season. Bow and stern thrust system fitted which makes for easy handling in tight mooring locations. 4 Birth in two cabins (can sleep a further person under canopy in warm weather) Front bedroom with v birth with boards and cushions to convert to a double birth, 240v, 12v and usb socket provide ample power to front cabin, storage under beds and three small drawers. Galley are with sink with hot and cold running water plus another tap which has a pump inside cupboard below so you can use mineral water bottles if you prefer to, oven, three ring burner, 3 way fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Cupboards both above and below the worktop give loads of storage space 240v and 12v power sockets.
Opposite the galley there is a small wardrobe, two drawers and a further cupboard, there is also a towel radiator that has both a 240v and a 12v element fitted so can run off either. Bathroom with sink, shower, sea toilet that can be switched to either the holding tank or through hull two small lockers and ample sized storage shelf unit. Wheel house has a seating area that also drops to make a double birth, currently has cloth upholstery fitted with matching curtains, but there is also a vynil set of cushion covers fitted if you prefer to use these. Two different tables, one small and a larger one as pictured, 32 inch TV which is included and can be powered via the 600 watt pure sine wave inverter fitted. Several 240v, 12v and usb sockets fitted.
Lots of various cupboards which give ample storage. Helm position with the usual controls and instrumentation, CD player and fish finder Back deck has seating are and a cupboard under a canopy can be used as an extra single birth during the warmer months. Upgraded alternator providing charge to four batteries, one 95ah engine battery, two 95ah domestic batteries and a 60ah battery that supplies the bow thrust, all batteries were replaced two years ago. There is also a 20 amp charger wired in for when on mains and a small solar panel on roof supplies some additional charge. Other features include; Diesel air heating system hot water via engine or 240v BSS til 03/21 Full set of thermal screen covers for wheelhouse in good condition 3 new quality mooring lines just fitted.
All in all a great boat in good condition and the light woodwork and interior make it feel very airy and spacious, lots of lighting onboard make it feel comfortable at night as is still bright onboard. In up and running and ready to be used and enjoyed condition. Does need one corner fender replacing as it used to rub on a finger pontoon i used to moor on but a new replacement one is supplied with the boat. Hull has been painted but topsides are still in gel coat, obviously various age related marks as this is a 1982 boat so therefore not new. Only selling as buying a larger boat.
