I have decided to sell my stunning Mariner 555 sports boat. I am now in my late 70s and the time has come to buy something smaller or give up boating.As my introduction above detailed, this boat is in lovely condition and is an imaginative design. I understand that much of their production goes to the US, with a few boats coming to the UK and Europe so this is a rare opportunity to buy one these exceptional boats.During my ownership it has been kept on a pontoon berth during the summer in Kingsbridge, Devon, and therefore meets the requirements for length and beam required by Salcombe Harbour Authority.

The bow of this boat (see photo) is designed to give good entry into waves and keep the boat dry of spray and stable. It's a fantastic rough water sea boat and is certified by the 1998 European Directive as Category C...... (For boats operating in coastal waters and large bays and lakes with winds to Force 6, up to 27 knots and significant sea 7 feet high).I have experienced its sea keeping qualities on several occasions when out at sea in the Salcombe and Dartmouth area. It makes one feel very safe with its high free board, strong construction and deep V hull.The manufacturers, in their promotional adverts, describe the boat as "an adrenaline packed sports boat with great manoeuvrability, durability and sea keeping qualities".The standard of construction is fantastic with an incredibly thick strong hull, lovely high gloss mouldings and top of the range stainless steel fittings.It features a large sundeck, great for relaxing, and there is also the added bonus of a toilet and/or storage in a small cabin which is through the door in the cockpit console. Several other good size lockers, including an anchor locker, provide storage for all your boating kit.
The flooring on this particular boat is of genuine teak with black caulking, the stainless steel cleats, handrails and fittings are strong and substantial making access and mooring the boat easy and safe. It has a stainless steel folding boarding/swim ladderThis boat will seat eight people, two on the stern seats (to the rear of the fold-down drinks table), two on the steering console seat and at least four on the bow seating.The bow seating can be extended with large fill in cushion to make a sun deck for lounging.The Mercury 60 EFI engine will enable a skier or wake boarder to be pulled. This is a fast boat if you wish! Or if you prefer pottering around or fishing you will use a few litres of fuel a day.It has a large detachable bimini cover on a folding stainless frame, great for keeping the sun off on hot days.Also included is an automatic bilge bump, an anchor, warps, fenders and more.It has all the instruments needed plus a Elite 4 Lowrance depth sounderThe large fitted overall winter cover and the handy cockpit cover were made by SKB Sails using the marine grade Sunbrella fabric known for its longevity and fade resistance,It has very recently been re antifouled using Hempel self polishing Tiger Xtra. It has recently been serviced ( April 2022) to include oils renewed and oil filter replaced, the water pump is perfect, pumping water as it should. It has currently total of 112 hours use from new, this I have in writing from Wills Marine, Kingsbridge as they checked it for me on the computer. For the last three years it has hardly been used and undercover stored due to lock down and personal issues, We used it for a few hours in the autumn 2021 but as the hours show it has had little use in its life time.It comes with a stainless steel transom lock for added security.The boat could be collected from me and put straight into the water and used, it needs nothing further.Indispension Braked Roller Coaster TrailerThe trailer is in good condition and has recently had new wheel bearings and brake cables fitted, the tyres are in good condition and a spare wheel is attached to the trailer.This is a swing beam multi roller trailer. The swing beam makes launching and recovery very easy, particularly from shallow water. It's fitted with a powerful two speed 2600 lbs winch.It has a fresh water washing system, this is fitted by the manufacturer so that after launching in salt water fresh water can be used to wash out the hubs, drums, brakes with ease.A lighting board is with the trailer.
