Stunning Vintage 23ft Bermudian Sloop Yacht Teak decks circa 1950.Lovingly restored Yachting World People’s Boat, designed by Captain P Brohall. The design of this boat won the Yachting World competition in 1950 and continues to turn heads! Plywood hull sheathed in epoxy and painted in Jotun paint (it wont need painting for a long time!). Teak main and aft deck, ply foredeck (replaced 2021). Sloop rigged.All standing and running rigging replaced in 2017 by Robertsons. Red storm jib sail and white main sail (slightly undersized but sails well). Volvo Penta engine in good running condition with Morse controls.Custom outboard bracket (out board not included). NASA Depth gauge, serviced by NASA in 2019. Beautiful cabin with hard wood beams, paintwork repainted in 2021.Has interior electric lights, a small chart table, sink and 2 berths. Electric panel above chart table has switches for navigation and cabin lights, also USB and 12v sockets and a audio radio/ CD player.There are 2 berths with custom-made cushions (very comfy!). The 2 berths can be converted in to one big double berth with a custom slatted central piece that fits between the two side berths.New gas lines fitted 2017. Cooker not included.The sea cocks are there for a toilet but we have not fitted. Electric bilge pump.Comes with custom external cover to keep the elements off (worth it’s weight in gold!) and trailer (bought for £800 in 2016). All tyres replaced on trailer 2021. Boat is on the hard but ready to sail. Will need anti fouling. Before next season I would recommend revarnishing the mast.It is possible to drop the mast by hand (2 people). There’s also the usual jobs you would expect with a wooden boat - predominantly varnishing and painting. More photos available on request. Visit by appointment only, contact seller.
