For sale is Sheinton, my Sunray 21 bilge keel sailboat, I've owned since June 2006 and have enjoyed owning and sailing her. She is a 1973 boat and would benefit from a good clean but is good to use straight away. As a used boat, there are jobs that need doing and I will advise of them below All photos were taken last season, the last one showing her on the drying grid at Emsworth Yacht Harbour where I have cleaned the hull and bottom between tides ready for the next owner to either lift to transport or sail away. Included in the sale is enough International Cruiser Uno antifouling paint to give her a good coat. Having bilge keels she can take to the ground, making moorings and underwater maintenance cheaper if done between tides on a slipway or drying grid.
Last antifouled approx. 18 months ago between tides on drying grid. Aluminium Mast & boom, standing rigging replaced in 2006, Plastimo furling system in working condition, all running rigging replaced and good condition. Sails included Main, genoa & jib all valeted in the last 2 years, all sails are usable, having been checked over by local sail loft. Fitted following navigation equipment, New Plastimo contest compass, New Raymarine ST40 bi-data including log and depth transducers, Raymarine 49e DSC fixed VHF with New whipflex VHF aerial, Garmin 128 GPS with external antenna and New Tri-colour & anchor light.
Jabsco sea toilet in separate heads in full working order - no holding tank but space to fit one. New Rule automatic bilge pump and hoses. Perspex side windows replaced in 2006. 4 berths in 1 cabin - Saloon with seating for 4 people, small galley area to starboard with fibreglass sink with pump tap and freshwater tank, area for double burner hob. Saloon table can be lowered to form double berth, V berth forward - No foam but upholstery still exists.
Various equipment comes with the boat, fenders, lines, anchor chain and warp. Jobs that need doing There is cracking around one of the portside stanchion bases – it may be letting water in Wiring - reconnect all electric - I will do this prior to auction ending Heads door re-attaching – rarely use toilet as daysail. Wooden rubbing streak has been knocked off in places - I have replacement iroko that will be included in the sale Antifoul hull - Antifouling paint included in the sale Re-paint the hull - not essential, purely cosmetic For more information on these boats on following link https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/sunray-21 These boats are for sale between £500 - £1,500 during the season, grab yourself a bargain! She is currently kept on a swinging mooring in Emsworth pool on a 1/2 tide mooring which keeps the costs down. Its approximately £455 per annum plus harbour dues £55, from the 1st April to 31st Mach each year.
I will be keeping the mooring but there are moorings are available in the harbour from Chichester Harbour Conservancy. Please check with the Harbour office, details on following link https://www.conservancy.co.uk/page/moorings-facilities The outboard seen in the photos is not included in the sale but is available to the winning bidder should they wish to buy it after the auction, please contact to discuss. It is a fully working Mercury 4hp 4 stroke longshaft outboard with external fuel connections, manufactured in Dec 2006, model ME4ML 4ST. Please contact via classifieds board for any questions or to make appointment to view, I will bring her into the Emsworth Yacht Harbour for viewings but please bear in mind that she is currently lying on 1/2 tide swinging mooring in Emsworth pool and is only accessible 2-3 hours either side of high water and subject to weather conditions. Item is listed elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the auction early The winning bidder is required to get in contact after the auction to discuss payment, handover of keys and title documentation.
If no contact is made within 48 hours of the auction end, the bidder will be reported to classifieds board and offered to the next highest bidder.
