Sunseeker S20 Resto Mod Speedboat Bmw M57 3.0 Turbo Diesel 20ft

Welcome to the sale of my resto mod Sunseeker / Poole Powerboats s20. This is one of the first boats Sunseeker produced when they traded as Poole Powerboats and later adopted the Sunseeker name. I often take the boat down to the south coast Solent area and she gets a lot of attention with her classic silhouette and the chug of the legendary BMW M57 bolted in the back. If you're reading this then I'm sure I don't need to explain in any detail the reputation these engines have, Yanmar actually do make a marine version of this engine called the 6BY. This conversion utilises some parts off that and some custom made parts.
The main advantage of this swap however is the fuel economy, this boat will cruise at 28 knots and use 3/4 gallons an hour, the equivalent oldschool carburetted V8 would use at least 10! Here's a spec list, but I'm sure I've forgotten things; SBS twin axle braked trailer that's a dream to tow (had an entire brand new axle fitted last year along with a new brake damper on the hitch, new brake shoes on the other axle and a new winch strap)Volvo 280 stern drive with the V8 ratio's swapped in so gearing is perfect for this engine Interior all retrimmed, including the cuddy cabin (1/2 berth) although the headlining needs finishing in there.Painted white and with BMW m sport decals added VHF Radio Twin 12v batteriesBMW M57 from a e39 530dRally raid m57 wiring loom + immobiliser delete and remap Yanmar 6by raw water pump coupled to a stainless steel heat exchanger (sea water passes by the coolant to cool it but doesn't mix so you don't have salt water going through the engine, this salt water then dumps into the exhaust and cools the exhaust) Water cooled charge/intercooler Single mass flywheel conversionSteel adaptor plate to mate the engine to the Volvo outdrive Suzuki 6hp secondary outboard (brand new to this boat a few years ago so basically new) Two bilge pumps Please note the boat and trailer combo weighs about 1800kg so you need a decent size car/van to tow it!
