You may have noticed Oriole is back for sale again.Turns out the buyer had 'accidentally' purchased 3 boats, lives in London and doesn't have storage, so turned up last night to collect her towing another boat just to demonstrate the point that he couldn't take her !. So, she is up for sale again. This time with a lower reserve, and also notice the picture of the brand new cover added.I've also added a picture of how the electric motor is installed.Everything else same as before. She really is lovely. We had a great weekend on the river with her a few weeks ago.She is ready for new adventures with another family.
Beautiful Thames Camping Skiff built in 1910 by E.Messum & Sons.Wooden rowing boat Named 'Oriole' she is actually a ‘Double Sculling Gig’ . Purchased in 2014 and then subjected to a full restoration. We have loved and enjoyed the boat on many family trips on the Thames. Is comfortable for 4/5 people but we have had as many as 8 at Henley. Can use used as fully electric for a leisurely 2 day trip down river.
To give you an idea, will go upstream from Marlow to Henley and back without using a full battery, or downstream from Abingdon to Benson on 1/4 of a battery. Will come with a brand new fitted cover from seal seam to keep her in tip top condition over the winter. Includes road trailer in great condition. With fully waterproof LED lights so it can be reversed into the river to launch. If you have the space to keep her she will make a great addition to the family for lots of adventures.
