Thistle Cruising And Racing Sailing Dinghy

This sale is for a Thistle cruising or racing dinghy built in the USA she is a super boat promising fun for all the family.The Thistle class were originally designed by Gordon K Douglass in 1945 and built in plywood, In the late 50's production changed to GRP, and today approx 4500 boats have been built.The Thistle was the boat that the American version of the Portsmouth Yardstick was based on.The sail area is 184 sq ft with a spinnaker of 220 sq ft. The spars are all alloy and spars and rigging are all in good condition.There is a very active owners association in the USA with a good web site This boat comes with 2 mainsails 3 jibs and a spinnaker. All in good condition but 2 could do with a valet. Also included is a wooden spinnaker pole . A paddle and a boom up coverThe boat sits on a purpose built unbraked road trailer which has some surface rust but is sound and has new wheel bearings.Please note the last photo is not my boat but a sister boat please contact me for further details or look on the internet
