Traditional Broads Crusier

Franic, formerly known as Galaxy Girl, was built in 1956 by Sabena Marine and commissioned by Summer Craft of Wroxham Norfolk built in wood, carvel construction. . She is 31 ft long with a 10 ft 6 beam and has a draft of approx. 3ft 6 inches, she has a 1.5 bmc diesel engine which is extremely economical, complete with a calorifier which provides hot water. She has 4 berths - the forward cabin providing 2 single berths which convert to a large double, and the main saloon has a further double berth which converts to the dinette area by day. There is an en-suite shower in the forward cabin together with a separate vanity unit and new washbasin.

The main bathroom (the heads) is located in the main saloon and has a toilet with holding tank and the original hand washbasin. The galley has a double drainer sink, hot and cold water, 2 ring gas burner with grill and oven in good working order. Electrolux 3 way fridge, which works on all 3 supplies Gas, 240 and 12 volt. The centre cockpit has the helm position on the port side with seating to the rear and ample space to dine alfresco, with the added benefit of the sliding cockpit roof. The windscreens fold flat which allows Franic to pass under all bridges.

Franic is a stunning vintage Norfolk Broads cruiser in need of updating and tlc, however she is a lot of boat for the money and makes a great live aboard.
