Traditional Thames Punt - Victorian/edwardian

This is a traditional Thames punt of Victorian or Edwardian origin. The maker and exact age is unknown. It was formerly part of a racing pair. Dimensions Length: 28' Width: 2' 2" Depth: 10" It comes with a full set of gratings, although one is damaged, as per the photo. One of the hatch covers is also missing; there are brass fixings for attaching mooring ropes.

There are no punt pole holders. Some 30+ years ago, the bottom/sides were sheathed in fibreglass to 'preserve' it and keep it watertight, which it successfully did, as it is still here today! The punt has been housed in a boathouse for all these years and not exposed to the elements. It is an ex-racing punt from the traditional skiffing & punting regattas on the Thames and has been regularly used as a practice punt for training and as the start punt at regattas.
