’WINDFOLA’ Trapper 300 For Sale 1988 Windfola is a Poole built Trapper 300 which has been sailed regularly all year round single handed by the previous owner on the Solent and South coast down to Swanage. She has competed in the Round the Island race. She is currently lying on the hard at a professional Boatyard on the Hamble. She is in sailable condition complete, maintained throughout and ready to sail. Cosmetically Windfola needs some work.
I'm currently cleaning the cabin and removing old transfers from the hull. The original gelcoat has responded to 3M cutting compound on a test area where staining is at its worst. She will require some new keel bolts at some point but has just come off of her mooring and there were no weeps evident. The yard commented that her bilge keels were strong with no movement..they've seen it all! The rigging was renewed 10 years ago so it would be well worth inspecting.
The chainplates are on show in the cabin and re strong and secure. Some new anchor chain would be needed or a few bad links cut out. The electrics all work and I can confirm masthead lights, steaming light works..the port/starboard nav light needs refitting but the wiring is there. The previous owner painted the cockpit with some domestic paint which I would strip if keeping her. The through hulls look to be in good working order.
I will take some more photos when I finish up here tomorrow. "Windfola" is a project but all boats are. I'm encouraging offers but from serious buyers only..I can recognise a keel kicker a mile off so please be reasonable. I would happily swap for a decent daysailer so she is a good opportunity to move up. All running rigging has been renewed recently.
