Engine Make: Sabb
Trintella 29 sailing boat yacht long keel Currently afloat in Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, East Sussex we are selling our Trintella 29 mark 2 built in 1969 by Tyler mouldings (was Lloyd registered when built so inspected throughout construction). She continues to be sailed in her present condition but is sold as seen. Due to a young family and a lack of time she is a project which we can no longer continue. Boat was purchased in 2012 and sailed to Barcelona (through the Canal du Midi). A great sea going boat that just needs the time and love we can no longer offer to bring her back to her prime.
These boats have a great reputation and somebody is going to get a fabulous project here. About the boat: 29’ deck mounted bermudan rigged sloop with long keel. Draws 1.3 meters. 4 berths (V berth front and 2 seatee berths). 10hp SABB diesel engine with primary and secondary filters.
Plastic 40lt fuel tank. Makes about 6kts under engine – but only uses about three quarters litre per hour. Perfect working order – could do with a paint. Variable pitch propeller. Sea heads (no holding tank).
In good working order. 2 ring gas burner and grill. Galley sink and chart table. Last out of the water May 2017 when she was re-antifouled (see picture), sacrificial anodes replaced and stern gland re-packed. Electronics include; Garmin Chart plotter (with European charts included), Raymarine depth, log and wind. Navtex.
VHF Radio. Tiller pilot autohelm. Mast-mounted radar reflector. Furling foresail and lazy-jacks for the main (battoned) sail. Sails in working order – but starting to get tatty in places. Sprayhood.
Dodgers with name (brand new – not in photos). Main anchor (50 meters of chain) and kedge anchor (10 meters of chain plus warp). Manual and electric bilge pumps. Danbouy, horseshoe life ring. All fendors, warps etc you’d expect.
There are some superficial scratches in the paint on the hull (photographed). The electric wiring is not fully functioning throughout (through deck fitting replaced at foot of mast and not properly rejoined). Some windows re-bedded – some not. Some of these have minor-leaks. I don’t want prospective buyers to see the equipment and photos and think she’s ready to sail the Atlantic – there is work to be done to get her back in shape that doesn’t come across in the photos (majority taken last weekend).
But she is a project that can be managed by an individual and will make someone very happy. No reserve on this boat as we really need to move on. We have been talking about selling her for some time – and that’s why we’re opted for no reserve. We are not listing this boat elsewhere so she really will sell for whatever the best bid is here! She is laying in Eastbourne and I’ll happily facilitate viewing (weekends best – please use Contact Seller option to arrange).Collection by buyer in person.
