CABIN CRUISER, FITTED WITH MERCURY 9.9HP OUTBOARD (still under manufactures warranty) AND TWIN AXLE TRAILER. Due to illness, offered for auction at a ridiculously low starting price (to ensure sale) a two berth cabin cruiser, fitted with an almost new Mercury engine and a twin axle boat trailer. I would recommend anybody interested in participating in this auction, should email me (email) and I will email them more details. The boat is stored at Thurne, Norfolk, I live 250miles away in Bishop Auckland, consequently I have not seen the boat since last year, but I am taking down my caravan to Norfolk to allow me to clean boat after winter storage, and hopefully to hand it over to the new owner. The boat will be ready for collection from Thurne on Thursday 25th. April.
If this date is not convenient to the new owner I could make alternative arrangements with the owner of the storage facility for them to collect at there convenience, unfortunately if this option is selected I would not be there to give a guided tour of boat and answer any question. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF BOAT Age and manufacturer of boat unknown, but have been told the year of manufacture is 1982 and was manufactured by Shetland. My informer claims he had an identical boat. I am unable to confirm or rule out this claim. Cosmetically the boat looks good and often receives admiring comments.
Boat length (excluding outboard) 18ft 6 inches Beam 7 ft. 6 inches Safety certificate valid until July 2021 FRONT CABIN Two single berths or one double berth, double berth is achieved by dropping table down onto supports and a shaped piece of upholstery completes the bed. There is a sink fed by a 12 volt pump. Water pumped up from an aqua roll housed in cupboard under sink. (more details of this system is included in the additional information if so requested) Opposite the sink is a toilet compartment housing a chemical portable toilet.
This has been well cleaned and disinfected. There is no fixed gas appliances on the boat. We used a portable gas stove with gas canisters for cooking. Cooking always took place in the well ventilated rear cabin. This adopted procedure makes the issue of a safety certificate more easily obtained, as the gas stove can be removed from boat prior to inspection.
REAR CABIN The eye catching feature here that immediately produces comments from any visitor, is the bespoke ships wheel. There is also a solar panel to keep battery charged whilst moored up. The battery also receives charge from engine when running. EXTERIOR OF BOAT Top deck was repainted in 2017. Anti fouling was also carried out during 2017.
We used to have a small leak from the window frame above sink in front cabin, but since I repainted the frames in 2017 the leak seems to have stopped. ENGINE The boat is propelled by a Mercury 9.9 , four stroke, electric start engine, still under manufactures 5 year warranty. The engine was purchased from Norfolk Marine in Wroxham on August 3rd. 2017 at a cost of £2,660 (including fitting). It received its first service on April 25th.
2018 after 25 hrs. Of running. The engine running time now is still only 74 hrs. From new. Photographs of boat may show a secondary engine mounted on the transom, this is not included in the sale, as I own an inflatable and need that engine if I was to use it.
TWIN AXLE TRAILER At present not in the best of condition. The brake cable snapped about 4 years ago but since the boat storage is only a few hundred yards from slipway, I never repaired it. Prior to the cable snapping the brakes were working correctly. The trailer also requires a new jockey wheel.
