My friend purchased this single occupancy hovercraft to have some fun with, but sadly did not realise there is a weight restriction of 160Kgs for the craft. Regrettably, this larger than life sporting and athletic gentleman exceeds the weight limit because of his physical size. Right that’s the explanation sorted. Let’s deal with the description… Please bear in mind that I have no more expert knowledge than anyone else out there, so we will all have to rely upon common sense and the power of Google. This is a classic wings model with a German Built Kohler Vanguard OHV 18hp engine.

It has an ignition switch key and an extra kill switch for safety purposes. This incredibly robust and durable vehicle can be used on land and sea but only fools go where Angels fear to tread. So caution is needed. As can be seen in the photos its dimensions are approximately 10ft x 6ft and approx. 5ft high with the hydrofoil.

It has the original clip on skirts, in a reasonably good condition which were cleaned prior to storage. It is very important to note that this is being sold as a project but it is far too good for spares or repair. However, it will require a few things to get it up and running again. Firstly it has been decommissioned for transport purposes as per the law, see Road safety act. So the fuel lines will need reconnecting.

I have also been told that it will likely need a new battery, since it has stood for some months and it will require a bit of tinkering with (but not on my premises) to get it in fine fettle. It is complete in every way and when last tested it was working fine. It has a maximum speed of over 50 miles per hour. It is very easy to manoeuvre with two people. On the Oregon Isspro calibrated clock it shows 304 hours, which I am told is very light use.

There is a purpose built heavy duty braked trailer available at extra cost, by separate negotiation and shown in the pictures. This has 14 inch wheels with good tyres and the hubs have recently been greased. It also has a brand new light board and a high quality Bradley double lock tow hitch for security purposes and anti skid. The trailer has a legal payload weight of 750Kgs, which means you can just about carry anything you can think of sensibly, when you are not using it for the hovercraft. You will need to make your own transport arrangements and will require a set of long ratchet straps to secure it to the trailer if purchasing this item, to ensure safe passage to your destination.

Simple ropes will not suffice in transit due to slippage. You transport at your own risk! You will also need a number plate. Only sensible offers will be considered for this trailer. Now for the serious bit… If this sounds harsh I apologise now to all the genuine bidders.

I am a mature gentleman now retired and do not suffer fools gladly as I am in poor health. I have given a comprehensive and honest description, to the best of my knowledge. I do not require any dreamers, tyre kickers, wheeler dealers, traders, wide boys, idiots or timewasters. If you do not have the cash in your pocket to buy this, then please do not place a bid.
