Very Very Rare Bluebird Marine Jet Boat, Ford Motor, Hamilton Jet, Speed Boat

Here we have my Bluebird Marine Jetstar (Donald Campbell) Jet boat. This is a 13 foot jet boat believed to be 1968/9 and apparently one of nine remaining. The original Cortina engine has at some time been replaced with a 1600 Xflow unit. Last winter she had new engine mounts, fuel pump and an electronic distributor. The head was reconditioned and included the fitting of hardened exhaust seats and new valves.

A new throttle cable new steering cable, both UJ’s on the drive shaft to the Hamilton pump unit, bilge pump and new LED navigation lights were also fitted. The interior is very clean and the hull is really sound. The boat is made of hand laid fibre glass, thick and very strong. She now could do with a new windshield because in the extreme temps we had in June it “melted” and got all out of shape. Needless to say, she comes with battery ,fuel tank, turn key and a boat cover (which needs cleaning).

All ready for fun on the water. The original testing of these boats is available on the internet where they claim 35mph I have had 46 on my GPS and they were far from perfect conditions! It is very manoeuvrable and great fun to drive. The trailer at the same time had new hubs and bearings a jockey wheel and a new hitch. Here is a chance to grab yourself a bit of boating history.
