With a payload of 675kg it makes a wonderful rib for watersports or bay hopping with a family. It has a tough but light moulded hull with a ten year warranty and davit lifting D rings making this an ideal yacht tender these boats are particularly popular due to their unique hull design and interior and won the National Marine Manufacturers Association Innovation Award for innovation in inflatable boat design. Walker Bay ribs are very highly regarded, these boats were designed to be tough, the hull section is fantastically strong with a thick moulded skin with separate floor and three chamber 43cm diameter tubes making this a very capable boat. This is a great size RIB for sport and family fun as it is easily manageable single handed, cheap to run, will fit easily into a standard garage, a fantastic sea boat that gives you a really safe feeling with young family. With its Deep V-Hull Design and High Impact Marine Composite (HIMC) construction, Genesis is able to cut through rough water while absorbing vibration for an incredibly smooth ride. Dynamic hull channels direct water flow to improve cornering performance at high speeds. These channels, combined with the integrated trim tabs, direct water flow downwards at the stern. This forces the bow down, which helps facilitate earlier planing. The result is a faster, smoother running boat, which is quicker up on a plane.

This EFI fourstroke outboard is amazingly economical and practical and ideal for pulling a skier or wakeboard It pushes the boat onto the plane with ease. The photos were taken on the 9th March, it handles beautifully and the GPS speedometer (see pictures of module in HD link) shows it comes on the plane at just 2500 rpm about 12 knots, the multi gauges are excellent showing a lot of information including engine temperature, tilt level, speed, MPG, revs, hours etc . At 4500 rpm which was about ¾ throttle we were doing 25 knots and it trims very nicely making the ride very comfortable.

It has impressive acceleration, enough power to pull an adult out of the water on skis and has a top speed of over 30 knots. The rib is rated for a 30hp outboard so it is powerful but because Yamahas are lightest in their class there’s little or no difference in weight to other brands at 30hp. I was pleasantly surprised how well it handled probably thanks to the ‘Smart Tabs’ gas strut trim tabs that make the boat come up on the plane very smoothly and at low speed and level. As it is does have this powerful setup, I have checked with insurance companies and Bishop Skinner Marine said that it was no problem and quite typical and they would insure it (UK coastal waters and abroad) £180 if you are an RYA member. It’s also fitted with a genuine prop guard these are £175 new.

Built in 2009 with very low hours with hardly a blemish. It runs perfectly starts effortlessly on the first flick of the key and pumps plenty of water.
