1978 Westerly Centaur Original price: £4,750. REDUCED CONSIDERABLY FROM THIS PRICE This Westerly Centaur is a well-established family cruiser, benefiting from Westerly’s solid build quality. They provide spacious accommodation and with their twin keels make them ideally suited to the shoal waters of the East coast. ClareFree has the desirable 'A' Layout, which gives the dinette/ double berth to port option, with 6 berths in total. The heads are forward and to port, with a sea toilet.
The galley to starboard has plenty of storage, with a cooker and sink. The dinette conversion will comfortably seat 4. Whilst she is currently in serviceable condition, it is fair to say that she will benefit from some work to ensure many more years of use, but many of these are of a cosmetic nature or relatively simple fixes. She is currently ashore (winterised) in Larkman’s Yard, Woodbridge, Suffolk. This Westerly Centaur is extremely reasonably priced as the owner wants a quick sale.
Please contact Chris on 0phone for further information or to arrange a viewing. It is most likely that the boat could remain at the yard and Larkman's have confirmed that on request from the new owner, they can not see any reason for this to be a problem. Clarefree is winterised at present so remasting etc., always carries a fee as does craning back into the water or keeping in the yard and the subsequent fees would have to be discussed with the yard. Larkman's yard have always been very accommodating and have the best fees in the area as each individual can negotiate directly with the family owned yard. I have been told that the boat can be kept in the yard during the summer if required but this will need to be discussed directly with the yard by the new owner.
