Welcome to the sale of this beautiful Westerly Centaur. It’s a 1976 26ft, twin fixed keel with a Volvo Penta twin cylinder Diesel engine. The engine runs beautifully and is incredibly economical. Two brand new good quality leisure batteries have just been fitted. All sails included along with a tonneau cover and a new cockpit cover.
She has an Avon tender with a lovely seagull outboard. Also comes with a life raft. She sleeps 6 max and has a sea toilet, cooking facilities and a built in cooler box. She comes with some “old school” basic navigation electrics so would benefit with an upgrade. She lies at Hollowshore, Faversham and is currently on a tidal berth.
This costs approximately £1450 per annum. She has not been at sea for approximately 15 months but I run her up every 2-4 weeks. She’s dry and well aired with no mould or nasty smells. She could do with some dry ropes replacing, a good clean of the hull and perhaps a touch of varnish here and there. She had an epoxy recoat some 4-5 years ago.
This was undertaken by the boatyard that she resides. NO osmosis! I am selling her on behalf of my father. Unfortunately he is unable to use her anymore. She must go asap and this is reflected in the price.
