The back deck ( 8ft x 10ft ) and steering position leads to a doorway to the main accommodation and an unusual centre staircase leading to the top deck. Provision has been made by way of a fabricated framework to install a decking area of approximately 250 sq. feet. Additionally there is an entry either side, with wide ( 3ft ) gangplanks that drop down and give excellent access, originally built for disabled access we think this is the reason for generous sizes on stairs and walkways.The doorway to the interior leads to a vast open space of just over 400sq ft. The interior has been stripped, rust treated and sprayed in red oxide. 2 new plastic storage tanks have been installed and are ready to plumb in. 1 x 400lts for grey water and 1 x 400ltrs for black waste. New pine flooring and supports have been laid with the installation of the tanks.Andromeda was built in 1980 and for the last 15 years was left neglected. She has been out of the water in the last 12 months and the hull has been cleaned and blacked with 3 coats of International black, the best on the market.
4 new anodes have been fitted and some plating welded as needed where the old soil tanks were removed. The back deck holds the steering position and has access to the engine compartment, the steering is hydraulic and there is a 12v bilge pump and also a hand pump.
