A Wilderness Beaver 23 foot, 4 berth. The Boat GRP contruction.Including the Parson 15 HP outboard, purchased new only 5 years ago, regularly serviced and maintained, running well.10 amp battery charging coil fitted.Forward, neutral and reverse.Wheel Steering. The boat safety scheme is current, and expires in October 2022.Boad licensed until March 2022. The internal accommodation comprises of -2 singles/ or 1 double berth at bow;2 singles at the stern;Seperate toilet compartment as shown in the photo, with a Thetford toilet;1 stainless steel sink with drainer, cold water supplied by a foot operated pump;2 gas hob rings;1 grill;1 oven;1 floor-to-ceiling cupboard opposite the toilet;smoke and carbon monoxide alarms fitted;12 V electric lights throughout the boat. We have owned this boat for about 10 years, and have cruised regularly on River Lee (Lea Navigation) and River Stort.
We have occasionally stayed overnight onbard. The boat is currently moored on the River Lee. The mooring is not part of the sale. She is an original Wilderness Beaver built in 1979, with original Wildeness internal fit-out. We have been covering her up each winter.
So the tarpauline cover (purpose made for this boat) is also included in the sale. So are the covers for the engine and the controls as seen on photo 2. We have been using the boat regularly, with regular ongoing service and maintenance - we have been looking after her. She is perfectly usable as she is. Ideally, she requires further updating, repairs and TLC.
Repairs and updates: We still use her with no problems in her current condition, so the repairs and updates could take place over stages.The boat always stays dry inside.The boat has general wear and tear, knocks, scapes and dings in all areas.Roof is slightly sagging in one part on the front port side. It does not leak, but could benefit from additional support.2 cracks appeared in the roof covered by rubber patches, so no leaks either.Original front perspex windows crazed.Splits in GRP where the bow of the boat meets the cabin.Boat has been painted over gelcoat, and could benefit from a re-paint.The interior is complete, but just needs updating and maintenance due to general wear and tear.She has not be out of the water for about 5 years.So would benefit from power-wash of the hull, paint and anti-foul applied to the hull.The whole boat was built in 1979 and has been well-used.The boat can be launched and recovered from her trailer on any good slipway. Please note it's not in Takely, near Bishop's Stortford as on our classifieds board account, although it's not far, as we drive to the boat regularly from our home. Before collection, we will ask for your email address and send you an invoice on paypal. Alternative, you may do a bank transfer. We will arrange collection once the payment has been received and confirmed.
