Welcome to the sale of Conway, she is a wooden built centre cockpit can in cruiser from the 1950s. She is an absolute stunner, the interior is just beautiful, with a little amount of work and some soft furnishings (we can make these for you), she will make a lovely boat, From entering through the central cockpit area, to the stern is the bedroom, this has an abundance of storage and strangely for a boat of this size she has a fixed double bed!. Moving into the covered centre cockpit area, to the port side their is a small toilet room with loo and wash basin. The engine is located under the deck boards, their are lockers port and starboard which double as seating, moving in to the fron cabin, to port is a cooking area and to starboard is a sink and cupboard unit, to the bow are two bench seats which make good sized singles or an additional double bed. 12v lighting throughout, individually switched and additional Bacolite switches.
Floors are all hardwood and headlining is painted tongue and groove, she will need curtains and all upholstery seating and mattresses etc, we can quote you for providing these items should you wish. To the outside this is where she needs a good rub down and varnish, possibly some caulking needed, and almost definitely one area that requires attention, this is where she had a roll of wet carpet leaned against her hull and it has caused some damage, this can be seen in the photos. The current owner (not me as I'm selling for a friend), has had a survey on the hull which shows that just this small area appears to need attention. Their aren't many of these left now, if you would like to see a similar boat built by Taylors of Chester, their is one stored in the boat museum in Ellesmere Port called Amaryllis. Fancy a true piece of history?
Conway truly is a lovely boat with stunning lines, she just needs someone who has the time and passion to bring her back on the water and enjoy her for what she is!. We've priced the boat at what we think she is worth in her current state, with some hard work and a bit of cash she will definitely be worth a hell of a lot more. She is located on handstanding in Tiverton Cheshire and can be viewed by appointment, please see the phone number below. Transport can be arranged and she can be lifted with a Hi-Ab, this is how she was bought to this site. Any questions please call 0phone
