Wooden Classic Boat

This refurbished cabin cruiser named Ulass was acquired a few years ago for refurbishment by myself. Having already undergone substantial renovation by its previous owner Ulass is very nearly ready for launching. She has undergone many many hours of care and attention and has the following fitted: fully reconditioned Volvo Penta 20hp diesel inboard engine with little hours. New throttle levers and cables, exhaust, fuel line and purpose built plastic fuel tank fitted in the starboard behind cockpit. New brass windows are fitted to cabin, with refurbished top roof sliding panel and cabin doors.

The majority of hull is mahogany moving up with teak and old quality pine tongue and grove. Internal lat seats are in with the price, these need a sanding and coat of paint. Many brass parts are purchased but not installed yet, vent covers, hose parts etc. It has a purpose built trailer with 4 wheels and brake mechanism, I towed it once and seemed to all work fine. It is believed to be designed and built in the Isle of Man circa 1925-40, the yard is no longer in operation, there was one other boat found which had been also renovated in Newcastle by a gentleman I had some communication with.

He made an absolute fantastic job of refurbishment. There has been talk of Dunkirk Little ship association but this is not proven, more historic investigation is required. I am selling this boat because I have other more important commitments at present so cannot give it the time it deserves, it is believed to have been in use at Isle of White, Manchester ship canal, and finally Lake Windermere. It probably won't take much to complete Ulass and enjoy great days on the lake or canals. Any veiwing / inspection is more than welcome.
