Yanmar 1GM10 Inboard Diesel

Yanmar GM10 marine I have owned this engine for fifteen years and it has had light and careful use. It had one other owner from new and apart from replacement of service parts it has never been repaired at any stage in its life. While I have owned it, has been completely reliable. It always starts on the button and no oil is added between services. Several parts have been renewed.

It has a replacement water pump with less than 50 hours use (cost around £200) The exhaust elbow is also relatively new. The full wiring loom is included with the standard control panel. When removed from the boat the electrics were all working except the temperature warning alarm. A new temperature sender has been fitted but has never been connected. I have not tested the loom since removal.

When I bought the engine there was some corrosion on the sump pan. At the time it was treated with coal tar epoxy and this has prevented any further wear. I was planning to keep this engine and it has had a full service and re-spray in Yanmar grey. All original metal parts of the air filter are included but the foam lining is not Yanmar original. The engine mounts may soon need replacing, I notice the the rubber is starting to separate on one of them.

A flexible shaft mount is included. Also included is a copy of the workshop manual in very good condition (never used). You are very welcome to inspect and see this engine running. Located between Truro and Falmouth. Contact me through messages.
