Boat Type: Rigid Inflatable
Hi All, This is my pride and joy a Zodiac open pro 650 which is regarded as one of the best ribs around. I bought the hull and trailer last year and have spent all winter getting her ready for some fun on the water. However due to just having an offer excepted on a house i am forced to sell. I have three chilren so everything has been done to get her on the water and keep her running safely. It ha twin engines to offer redundancy so if one has a fault the other will get you home and not ruin your day.
She also really flys and is super stable, great for days out port hopping or just blatting around, the Mariner four strokes will really surprise you. About the boat I bought the hull in october last year and had the tubes checked and serviced by zodiac dealer. They tubes are in original condition with no patches or tears. I have always wanted a 650 and this hull is in stunning condition. The hull has been anti-fouled, however underneath the paint is like new.
There are no repairs or holes or cracks or signs of stress and it does not take on water. I have recently installed twin matched 2006 high output mariner 50hp 4 strokes. I have also installed new wiring looms and fuel lines. Both engines have electronic start and trim and tilt. The engines are in great condition and have great compression and they have both just been serviced.
Both engines have approximately 250 hours since new. The engines controller is a mercury dual control with separate tilt which is thumb operated, i am happy to demonstrate everything working on collection. The trailer is brenderup roller trailer and has had new bearings and a new hitch. The only thing that needs replacing soon is the brake pads however it won't stop you using the trailer. The boat length is 6.5 meters and it has the larger zodiac hyperlon tubes (floating not attached).
The hull will float and on its own without the tubes, so if you did spit a tube you can get back to shore for a repair. I also have the original zodiac repair kit with the boat. The steering is hydraulic and i also have a spare seamster hydraulic steering system if you wanted to upgrade. I just have not got round to fitting it. Boat also has auto bilge, lights, dual battery (switchable).
The only thing you might want to invest in is nav/fish finder. I was looking at a navionics systems which is app based, however haven't got round to purchasing it yet. You will see the trim gauges missing in the photos and the lanyard, replacements will be fitted and working before collection. I chose to replace the gauges and lanyard as they were getting tatty. The boat has inboard fuel tank with fuel gauge on the console.
I have installed a second back up 30ltr tank that is switchable so if you run out of fuel your getting home. Theres a cool box on board with the removable seats and lots of storage. The boat comes with a new cover as well as two engine covers. The boat cleans up great and won't disappoint. About the zodiac Pro Open 650 These are the ribs to have especially the twin engine versions as they offer redundancy at sea and great power for towing.
They cost 56k new and have been in production for 20 years. The reason they are so popular is they are super light and really good for towing as well as being large enough to be very stable sea. This makes a great all-round day boat for fishing, skiing or just cruising around having fun.
