15ft Orkney Fishing Boat With 30hp(25) Tohatsu Outboard, Gps, Vhf And More

Here we have my 15ft Orkney Fishing Boat for sale which I've owned for the last 4 years. It has had a new electric start motor fitted in the last year and the engine has been serviced every year whilst I've owned it. Fitted at the helm is a remote control with gear and throttle controls as well as ignition. It's an excellent engine that runs very well, starts easily and gives a more than adequate amount of power for this boat.

There is a bit of cosmetic wear but I've always had it covered with a ducks back cover so its been protected from the elements. Trailer:The trailer operates fine and it's had a new winch and wheel bearings have been serviced recently. Again, due to beach launching, there are rusty spots on the paintwork but the steel frame is fine and has supported the boat through the last 4 years without any trouble. The rollers work fine and the trailer is quite easy to manoeuvre by hand, even with the boat loaded. You can push the trailer and the boat on your own on a smooth surface which is handy for moving up and down the driveway.

Condition:In a nutshell, its fine and functional but needs some TLC to bring it up to good condition. Never buy a boat that has been recently painted, you don't know what it's covering up. It's a seagoing boat and has been used for fishing via beach launching throughout its life so the associated cosmetic wear is to be expected. There are scratches and scuffs on the hull of the boat as a result of beach launching but this is unavoidable. The wooden rub rail is rotten and needs replacing with a rubber one ideally but this is not a big or expensive job to carry out.

This boat is ideal for someone who wants to take it straight out for some sea fishing, or for someone who is happy to give it a lick of paint and some attention. It really is versatile and I have used it for both sea fishing and as a leisure boat. The boat is registered on Windermere as you can see from the numbers on the side - this can be transferred into your name so you can enjoy some sunny lake cruising this summer.
