For sale my much loved and 90% referbished 1989 Rinker Captiva 206 Cuddy wakeboard boat with twin axel trailer Been stored inside for the winter and now is all ready for the summer. I bought this boat about 5 years ago as a project as I work in the marine Industry a Marine Engineer for a very well know Uk Rib manufacture and over the years Ive replaced and referbished almost everything and the last few years i had so much fun with her i am very reluctant to sell but i am soon to be a father for the first time so unfortunately my toys must go. When i bought her the deck was in pretty bad shape so I removed all of the main structure i.e. Bulk heads, stringers, engine beds, cabin floor and main deck and replace all with modern marine grade materials witch now should last much longer than the original deck and structure. One problem you get with old american boats is all deck water runs straight back the the engine bay bilge pump and causes major condensation problems in the engine bay and the engine becomes rusty and problematic.
So to get around this problem i have built a new bulk head separating the engine bay from the main deck and two sumps with bilge pumps, one in the cabin area and one on the main deck and created a water tight engine bay. This has helped reduce the amount of condensation greatly and the engine has benefited for it and now dosent suffer from damp issues i.e. Bad startups. She fires up first click every time. I've also replaced the old fuel tank with a stainless steel one located under main deck which i belive holds about 150 litres.
There was no engine or drive when i bought her so I sourced from the states a brand new Marine Power 300bhp 5.7ltr v8 Vortec engine risers and manifolds and a reconditioned Holley marine carb and a closed water cooling anti freeze system with a reconditioned Mercury Alpha 1 stern drive with hydraulic trim and Teleflex Sea star hydraulic steering and Hi five blade prop. All now about 5 years old but is still in very good condition. Recently i have replaced the two Batteries and honestly I really haven't done a massive amount of hours since I've owned her and she has always been trailered and never left in the water for more than a week at a time. Fully refitted the cabin. New round Lewmar hatch.
(original was a nasty square one) New floor, Flexi teak with divider , New upholstery, New bilge pump, Led roof Cabin lights , soft white night light. Cockpit has had a real Teak floor fitted. Brand new Seat stands. Original seats and rear bench seat with original upholstery in 7o% condition. Side panels have been replaced with marine made ply and resin washed covered in marine grade foam and white vinyl.
4 x led deck lights. Fusion stereo with fusion 6" speakers and sony 6x9". I have yet to fit a fm ariel as i just use the iPod dock in the head unit. New Fire extinguisher. All switches have been replaced and blade fuse box fitted.
Hamilton hydraulic helm also fitted. The windscreen and frame was completely stripped down to bare alloy and treated and re sprayed with a special paint to stop flaking witch is a common problem. Aircraft grade Alloy Wakeboard Tower with canopy. Canopy material is in ok condition no rips or tears. New engine Lid with Flexi teak and real teak on bathing platform.
Stainless boarding ladder with real teak steps Led Nav lights Lenco Trim tabs with rocker carling switches. Blue fitted tonneau cover with stainless pole. I have recently replaced all wheel bearings on the trailer but whilst doing so I discovered the break shoes and cables need replacing. Trailer tows absolutely fine but i have locked off the head stock so as it stands the trailer has limited breaking. Also the weekend just gone i have added a new coat of White Anti foul.
Hopefully i have covered everything but any questions I am more than happy to help. I also have videos of the engine starting up, Running and prop in rotation.
