Rinker Captiva 170 I tentatively offer for sale my Captiva. I have and do really enjoy this boat but due to the huge increase in the cost of dry stack contract this year i have been forced to keep the boat at home and i'm unable to give it the use it deserves and i am now short on space at home. I searched for around 6 months to find a bowrider with an outboard, if you want an outboard it really seems to limit your choice and i may be biased but i do not think you can find a better all rounder for the money. It's ready to easy and enjoy straight away and is a true pleasure. Boat itself; hull - very good condition for a boat of this age with no evidence of any issues at all.
The boat was anti fouled at the beginning of the year. There seems to be no rot or soft spot in the floor at all and no evidence of any movement in the transomInterior - very nice and presentable. The boat has had a retrim at some point in the past so it looks nice and current. There are a few minor marks around the cabin but it's still very pleasant. Covers - These were new in 2019 and remain in great condition as i hope is visible in the photos, they are secured by poppers and fit the boat very well.Inbuilt fuel tank with filler on the outside which very nice and easy to fill.Self draining deck so any water which comes into the boat while in storage simple runs into the bildge and straight back outHistory - i have a large folder with various bits of history & invoices etc. Engine;2003 Mercury Mariner 2 stroke - runs without fault, has never caused me any trouble at all.Regularly ran and serviced with the latest being December 2021.
I have a service kit (bar plugs) which i will include with the boatTop speed is around 45mph currently although it is currently 'geared' for huge low down performance and is fitted with a 18p stainless steel prop. If you were to change the prop to a 21p or similar the top speed would be improved but the lowdown performance wouldn't be quite as impressive.I have found the engine to be really efficient on petrol, i run it on tesco 99 and can easily enjoy a full day on one tank of fuel. The engine self mixxes 2 stroke, you just need to fill it from time to time. I have always used quicksilver oil.Toys & Gadgets; New pioneer bluetooth stereo fitted this year with 4 powerful speakersFish finder / depth gauge which includes charts and plottingVHF radio Speedo, RPM, Fuel, Trim Gauges - all workingUSB sockets & 12v sockets on board - really handy to pump up any inflatable toys you wish to tow.Removable table which is very handy for BBQs or drinks on board. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Any inspection or viewing is welcome, a sea trail can be accommodated if a deposit is paid. I must stress that i am in no rush to sell the boat at all and i am in two minds whether to let it go so please do not assume i am in a desperate rush and will take a silly offer as that is certainly not the case.
