Welcome to the auction of our lovely boat. She has never let us down and starts on the button and runs well. Being the 3l it is one of the more economical engines, but still has 135 HP. 1999 Sea Ray 180 Bow Rider Mercruiser 3.0 L Engine Alpha One Gen 2 Outdrive SSR Registered FRESH WATER USE ONLY 8 Places aboard Maxum single axle unbraked trailer with spare wheel. Garmin Echo 200 removable fish finder / sounder Bimini cover and boot CD player A very stable boat at 18’ long and 7’ beam.
The boat and trailer come in at around 1350 kg, the boat is around 950 kg dry. Included in the sale: new 6’ trailer board (just bring your reg plate!), anchor chain and rope, oars, boat hook, new propeller, mooring lines, fenders, prop bag, load straps……… We bought this family boat in 2008, so have owned it 14 years. In our ownership it has spent its entire life in Central France near Lac Chambon. It has had little use, around 10-12 hours per year. The boat has been dry stored when not in use.
The boat has been serviced and winterised by myself. The engine oil and outdrive oil has been changed annually up until winter 2020. The boat has not been used since. I would recommend the new owner service the boat before use, but the oil is still clean. I replaced the gimbal bearing the first time I changed the bellows.
The bellows have subsequently been changed roughly every 4 years and were last changed in 2020. In the last few years the boat has had a new starter motor, ignition switch, bilge pump and throttle assembly. All the gauges work as they should, although the voltage meter reads around 2 volts too high, but the alternator output has been verified and is correct (around 14 volts engine running). The trailer tyres are fine and the bearings have been greased and are ready to go. There is some light foxing to the seats and steering wheel which can be seen in the photos.
The rear seats lift up to enlarge the sun deck, whilst the back to back seats fold flat to make 2 sunbeds. There are numerous cup holders. The outdrive is getting ready for painting, and there is a ding in the propeller, however a new replacement prop is included in the sale. The boat has NEVER been anti-fouled and has NEVER been used in salt water. The hull is clean (except for in-between the two bunks which is inaccessible without a ramp or lift).
I have never beached the boat. There is a small area of damage to the rub rail on the starboard rear corner shown in the photos, less than 50mm long. The gel coat is totally original and has never been repaired. The covers could do with a good clean. They are a little tight with age and have a couple of very minor holes, a couple of mm in diameter.
To summarise this is a well cared for boat, which has given us endless fun over the 14 years of ownership, an I am sure the new owners will be delighted with it. I am starting the auction at £3500, and the boat will be on sale with no reserve. The boat is located at ST PLANTAIRE, 36190, CENTRAL FRANCE AND WILL NEED TO BE COLLECTED FROM THIS ADDRESS. It is around a 6 hour drive from Calais, due south. Come and have a short holiday and grab yourself a bargain.
This is a perfect boat for your holiday home, easy launch and recovery. I have many more photos available, so just ask if you would like me to send you any more. If you have any questions drop me a line or call phone. I will require a £200 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction.
