Lots of questions answered below!! This is our Sea Ray 220DA 4 berth cabin cruiser, fitted with an awesome 5.0 Mercruiser inboard engine. Vessel is currently berthed at MDL marinas in Brixham and all fees have been paid until May 2023 which are included in the sale. The berth has shoreline connection for your mains, which powers everything on board including the trickle chargers. The boating community at Brixham is second to none, they are extremely friendly and the smell of breakfasts in the morning is mouthwatering!
To give the new buyers a luxurious stress free start to their purchase I have included all your fees until next year. We’ve enjoyed many a night out in local restaurants and then Spent the weekend on the boat! Included is a recently upgraded GPS System, fish finder and DSC VHF radio. There’s also an on board toilet, hot and cold running water, stereo/CD, fridge which cools that much if you forget, freezes - perfect for keeping those bubbles at the optimum temperature. The original cooker is fitted and works perfectly although many have upgraded this to gas - we have never done this, or used it, we use the BBQ.
We’ve spent the last four years at Brixham marina, you have no tidal issues, 24/7 access and all the luxury of MDL marinas security and facilities. There are also many berth holders parties too! Fishing with the kids in the main use of ‘Bear Necessities’ and exploring the coastlines with friends and family. A new vessel forces sale, and we will have Tonto Marine do a service inspection prior to completion of sale. Stacks of history included with this amazing starter cabin cruiser.
There is free dry storage included in the MDL package up to 8wks per year or you can have her lifted out and transported to where ever you want however there is no trailer included in the sale. Both myself and even the last owners have bought her where she’s berthed, she’s well known and right at home. Viewings by appointment - first to see will buy this priced to sell cabin cruiser. Questions received: Thank you all so much for the amazing interest in Bear Necessities. Answers to questions:I pay £2500 + VAT for my berthing package.
It is renewable annually and the marina is happy to continue the berthing with the new owners.Yes there is electricity hookup - this is what I have referred to as a ‘shoreline’.Yes there is fresh water tanks and waste water tanks on board and there is a fresh water tap at my berth.Hot water is heated via the berthing shore line and is obviously available at sea for as long as it stays hot in the tank.Yes there is a deck hand shower fitted and it works perfectly.Yes there is a canopy but it is not currently fitted. I was going to replace it, it is old, however, it can be fitted and the framework is all present. Due to its age there are holes on the plastic windows but I inherited with the vessel when I purchased it and as you can see, if it isn’t on there, the seagulls can’t foul all over it. I was going to fit a new one with anti seagull wiring. There is a local supplier for this at the marina. No I can’t go down tonight for a viewing - and payment will be BACS or cash only.
BACS is preferred.Deposits - if you are a serious buyer then I don’t need deposits, we’re here for a sale.More photographs - I had no idea that there would be so much interest - I only posted it tonight and I will add more photos during the listing.I have replied to a couple of you directly and included your questions here. I’ll get a load more photos during the listing. The vessel is 1970’s, which year I don’t recall right this minute, the paperwork is at another location hence the updates tomorrow.Yes there is a separate bedroom accessed via the galley which you crawl into.Hope this helps!
