A rare chance to acquire a Searay 190 Bowrider speedboat. These boats are rare in the UK as the majority are the smaller 180’s. This model is claimed to have one of the best planning hull designs and with the 5.7 litre V8 Mercruiser outdrive makes it ideal for water skiing or wakeboarding. Or just have a blast as it tops out at 50 + MPH on the water. Fitted with a 5 blade “High-Five” prop for faster acceleration.
Boat has a ski locker in the floor which will accommodate two sets of skis. I am selling her as the kids have now grown up and we have not used her this year so it’s time to let someone else have some fun. She has been regularly maintained and had oil and filter changed at end of last season before being winterised. The 44 Gallon (166 Litre) Fuel tank was drained, and the engine filled with antifreeze. The Searay 190 is 20ft 8 ins long with a beam of 96” and can take 8 persons with ease.
The boat is on a 4-wheel Indespension Roller Trailer which is 4 years old (cost £1500 new) and can be towed by most vehicles as all up-tow weight is only 1800kg. The tyres are starting to crack from age so I would advise that these are renewed if you want to tow over a long distance. You can get these (165/70 x 13) for around £30 each. Winch handle for the two-speed winch has been lost but these are easily acquired for about £20 on classifieds board. The engine had an overhaul 5 years ago and has done approximately 300 hrs since then.
Gearbox was serviced 4 years ago with new cables, gaskets, seals and bellows fitted. New anodes were fitted at end of last season and they have not even got wet. A new tank sender unit and fuel gauge were fitted about a year ago as well as a new pitot tube for the speedo. The trim sensor cables were also modified at the same time, so they run outside of the housing to make changing the sensors an easy job (original meant completely stripping down the outdrive and gimbal assembly). When I checked everything was working I noticed that the trim gauge is a bit erratic and this is usually a sign that the sensor is on its way out.
Not an essential piece of kit as you normally trim the boat by sight and feel anyhow, and as mentioned it is an easy job to install a new one. New engine kill switch and safety-stop lanyard also fitted at this time. The standard kit for the boat includes an Automatic Bilge Pump. Electric Bilge blower. Power steering.
Power Tilt & Trim with buttons on throttle. Automatic Halon fire extinguisher system. Engine water & oil audible alarms. Integral full swim platform with swim ladder. Ventilated teak Ski hatch in floor.
Infill cushions for forward seating area. Mercathode (device that helps protect against Galvanic Corrosion). The boat comes with three sets of covers. A full cover for when it is on the trailer. A small bimini sun shade and cover for the bow section.
It also has a full sectioned weather cover which was new in 2014 at a cost of £1700. This is in 4 sections and can be used to cover the whole boat or sections as needed. I have tried to show the different configurations on the pictures. The boat has the usual age-related marks you would expect. The upholstery is starting to show its age, and although serviceable I was planning to get the seats recovered at some point.
The wood for the seat bases has signs of rot and I already made up new units using marine ply which I was going to use when I got around to doing the upholstery. Drivers side has been replaced already and the passenger side is included with the boat (see picture). Also Included in the sale are: - 1 x Lowrance Hook 4 chart plotter/ fish finder/depth gauge with full UK maps (£210 new 2 years ago). 1 x Icom VHF radio. 2 x New Seago 175N Life jackets with crutch straps (£60 each when bought).

1 x Flag pole with ensign. 1 x Trailer board with extension lead and 7 to 13 pin adapter. 2 x 20 litre jerry cans.Collection Only - Great Yarmouth Area.
