Searay 180BR – 2001 – Mercruiser 3.0Ltr - Great condition For sale is my Searay 180 bow rider speedboat that I purchased in December 2018. The boat is a 2001 model but in great condition and runs / looks great on the water. Probably one of the best condition 180’s on the water! It is powered by the Mercruiser 3.0ltr and happily does 40/45mph and is great on fuel. As you will see from the photographs I have spent a small fortune on this boat overhauling / modernising and servicing it to get it to how I wanted.
No expense was spared in the work that was done. I have listed the work carried out below: Engine /Drive / Transom 2019: Full service 2019 inc Oil and oil filter, spark plugs, fuel filter x 2, exhaust manifold and exhaust elbow replacement, timing chain cover + oil seal + sump gasket replacement, Circulation water pump replacement, New belts, Carburettor and fuel tank clean, New HT Ignition leads + distributor cap + rotor arm, New oil pressure sender unit, New thermostat, New starter motor. Universal joint bellows / exhaust bellows and gear gaiter bellows all replaced. Full alpha drive service with new oil and impellers and gaskets. Engine / Drive 2020: Oil + filter change, spark plug change, gearbox oil change.
Reconditioned propeller fitted.Boat work 2019: New Mercruiser control box inc replacement of all 3 throttle shift cables New steering wheel New Garmin Striker GPS / Plotter fitted with transducerNew navigation light USB charger (dual) fitted 2 x mobile phone holders fitted Both helm consoles painted black New ignition switch (2 sets keys) Carbon wrapped fascia panels All cup holders replaced with stainless steel versionAll grab handles replaced with polished s/steel Bow infill cushion made to can be used as a sun lounger New tonneau covers in black Custom made winter cover in black Monster tower MTK wakeboard tower fitted and 1 x wakeboard rack Boat fully carpeted with marine grade carpet in black inc all lockers Sound deadening (fire retardant) fitted to rear bulkhead and engine bay to make it quieter Seadek EVA foamdecking fitted to bow and swim deck New bluetooth stereo fitted 2 x fire extinguishers fitted (1 in engine bay and a handheld fitted under passenger helm) New battery isolator switch New trim and tilt motor bracket upgraded to stainless steel New quality marine battery and terminals Trailer: Single axle bunked Snipe trailer in great condition. This trailer tows great and is low to the ground making launching / retrieving easy. The bearings were replaced 2019. The winch / strap / jockey wheel all work. Please note – as I was using this as a launch trailer the brakes were removed so this is an unbraked trailer.
Brakes could be refitted at your expense if required and with ease as I had the drums / backplates greased when brakes removed. Should you require brakes fitting I could put you in touch with my local boatyard who can quote for you. There is no doubt I have missed a lot off the list and I will update if I remember more. The only reason I am selling is I got offered the opportunity to purchase another model boat that I always wanted, which I now have done so this one sadly needs to go. It’s a great boat and I will be sad to see her go especially now she is finished.
