Year of Registration: 2006
Length (Feet): 15 1/2 feet
Beam (Feet): 7 feet approx
Engine Manufacturer: mariner
Boat Type: Alaska 500 XL
Boat is a much loved fast fisher, the model is an Alaska 500 XL it's approx 15 1/2 feet or 5.5 metres long with a width of 6 to 7 feet or 1.8 to 2 metres wide. It fish's three to four adults with ease, has two front 360 degree swivel seats and a bench seat across the back, a bench seat also sits at the front of the boat and wraps around the cuddy, the hull can seat up to eight persons according to the plate, there is also plenty of space for storage within lots of compartments for fishing equipment and other gear. The sides are nice and high, my small children have been out in it many times and it's perfectly safe they can't fall over the side thanks to the design although they do climb onto the back seat to jump in the water when required or attacking me when playing pirates of the shore. Boat has plenty of power if you wanted to pull a ringo for older children but we haven't as our's are a little young for that yet. Please note the manufacture date of the boat is unknown but when I brought the boat from the previous owner it had the original engine fitted which was a 2006 model ?
So I have estimated the year based on this ? Boat is currently set up with a brand New (2017) 75hp four stroke Mariner Engine with less than 20 hours; the engine has had its first 20 hour service so ready to go, it's also worth noting the 5 year engine warranty is transferable. The current set up cruises at 18 to 20 knots with ease at approx 3k of beautifully quiet engine rev's thanks to being a four stroke, the top speed is unknown as I'm not brave enough. Twin axle trailer included, I have changed the original single axle set up to a twin as I personally find twin axles easier to launch from and recovery too on my own as they don't tip around like a single axle. It's a fixed bunk trailer with 10 x 2 timber with v cut inserts to help with launch and recovery; I copied the design used by lots of boat yards in the area, but added the v cuts so the boat guides itself into place.
I personally always found it awkward with the original bunks to get the boat on straight so I changed them ( this was most likely because their is always a cross current on the slip way I use, or maybe I'm just not very good at it. I have the metal bunks to go with it if you want to change them back. ) Please understand the trailer has two 750 kg rated axles so no issue with weight as the hull is approx 480kg's and the engine is approx 150kg's from memory; however the hubs do not have brakes. I never toe it far so I have never felt the need. If I'm honest two of the tyres could do with changing.
However if you are going to toe this a long distance, and want to buy it I will put new ones on and double check the bearings for the new owner. With the distance I toe this its fine as it had new bearings in February 2017. Also include's all of our equipment, a life jacket selection including children's two x 25 litre fuel tanks, straps and ropes, fish finder and maps which is on a dragon fly fish finder. Anchor and chains and automatic bilge pump with manual over ride also included. This is a complete set up and ready to go.
I am asking for £9500.00 The reserve is set at £9250.00. For the curious; The wife wants a house extension due to our growing family and I know my place; maybe I can buy it back from you in a few years..............as the boat has been well looked after and all maintenance has been carried out though out my four years of ownership. Thanks for Looking; Boat is located in Poole in Dorset. This is a private sale so cash or bank transfer on collection. As already stated the engine warranty goes with the engine and is transferable provided by the manufacture.
The Boat and trailer are sold as seen.
