Shetland 535 Day Boat Winter Project Fishing Canal Unfinished Trailer No Engine

Hi, heres my auction of my fathers boat project. Unfortunately he's no longer with us and I don't have the time to finish it off myself. The boat has been up and down the River Medway a few times and has always been stored on a trailer. I've removed the engine as I plan to buy a RIB in the near future. The hull in the same as a Shetland Sheltie and Suntrip but with a full 2 berth cabin with room for a cooker, WC and plenty of storage under the seats.

I've seen many 535s on the canals and broads and also around the coast. They are both a capable sea and comfortable inland boat. We've had the boat for nearly 10 years. In the time it was fully rubbed down and repainted in good quality boat paints. The hull was undercoated, top coated and given a coat of broads antifoul which is now wearing off.

The cabin, cockpit and cuddy were also repainted. I have the spare paint available too. The paint is starting to flake/craze in various places now though. The transom is sound and has been reinforced with a stainless plate by the previous owner. This can accommodate engines up to 90hp.

The steering fitted works fine and cable operation is smooth. The grp/plywood floor is soft in a few spots and has been reinforced with a sheet of plywood. The front windows are cracked but i will supply 2 new sheets of smoked polycarbonate to make new ones. The interior cushions are a bit tatty, but would be easy to recover. The bow cushion is missing.

On the last trip out we hit a BIG bow wave with two 6ft lads sitting on the front deck. This opened crack in the port fore deck. This will need repairing/reinforcing, but its an easy job. The unbraked trailer is fully functioning, bearings are smooth and comes with a spare tyre. I have recently driven 30miles on the last trip out with no issues.

The winch and rollers work fine. Viewing is welcome at evenings or weekends. Payment by cash or paypal, with 10% deposit within 3 days and collection within 1 week of sale. I can also deliver within 80miles of DA12 at 40p/mile return. Thanks for looking and please message me with any questions.
