Thank you for viewing my lovely classic Shetland 535 day boat. I have owned it for many years but now is the time to sell. Being built around 1971/72 it is in pretty good condition and served me well. Shetland 535 were regarded as one of the best day boats, far stronger than the modern boats and due to the hull shape it is very stable. It is a planning hull so travels quite fast (sea conditions permitting).
The trailer is not part of the sale but I will chuck it in if you buy the boat and engine. This free trailer needs attention as it sits a little low but the mudguards have been raised to clear tyres. This trailer is getting a bit rusty and the winch cable needs replacing, that is why it is thrown in free. Buyer is welcome to lift the boat on to own trailer or transport vehicle. The engine is very reliable but slightly smoky and an occasional misfire.
It needs a good service, tune up or even go for a full overhaul! This engine also has areas of missing paint and surface corrosion towards the bottom end. The lift assist does not work very well, just worn out I guess so it's muscle power! The Clarion CD/Radio does not power up but power is getting to it. There is a full control panel with various switches, bilge pump control and there are two 12V outlet sockets, one inside and one on the cockpit dashboard.
Please understand the photos may not show all the blemishes. The hull will require antifouling if moored for long periods. The lifejackets require new trigger cartridges as they are out of date. These cartridges are easily replaced. Please ask for any details regarding this listing.
This sale includes everything shown in photographs except for the trailer (which I will give to buyer of boat) and vehicles in the background! Plus a bit more.
