Shetland Speedwell Cabin Cruiser, Canal, Sea, River Boat

Hi and welcome to my listing for my Shetland Speedwell.She would make and has made a fantastic first boat, ideal for those that like to fish, do a few overnights or just day cruising. She is 20' by 6'10" and was designed with sea, canal and rivers in mind. Her shallow draft of 1'6" along with her narrow beam allow her to access pretty much all of the canal network with ease. She is a strong boat with expected wear and tear, bangs and scrapes that you would expect from a boat her age. She was last anti fouled 2017, the engines last full service was 2017 but it has had new plugs since then.

Mooring location is near Maidstone. There is no trailer with this listing. I am open to sensible offers. There is the possibility of taking over her current mooring but that will be for the new owner to discuss with the owner of the mooring. If the mooring is not taken then the winner will have 7 days to complete payment and remove the boat otherwise the deposit will be lost and she will be put up for sale again.

If you do not agree then don't bid She needs a few things finishing but she is very much usuable now and has been used as often as I could get out.The wiring needs updating as although she runs some of the switch panel doesn't (I believe it's just time to replace the old wiring).I have installed a solar panel and ran new wiring for batteries but she is currently still connected to the old wiring as I haven't had time to finish.Cabin lights need finishing as do the navigation lights. There is a new starter battery. I also started rebuilding the cockpit as there wasn't any room to move and found it's layout very impractical, even though it's not finished you can see where I was heading and it's so much better.

Included in the sale is most if not all the wood to finish the starboard side in the same style as the port side. There is a whole load of boat things included such as: sprung mooring pinslock keyshigh quality camper/boat leg (needs installing)a decent anchor with approx 15-20' chain and a considerable length of anchor ropea seagul outboard auxilliary motordepth gauge/fishfinderspeed log2 x 23 litre fuel removable tanksand much more. The cabin has a v berth, a solar vent which does a great job at removing the worst of the condensation, a 2 ring stove with grill and a seperate oven, a hob top whistling kettle. It has a sea toilet, a small sink and plenty of storage space. There is a 240 hook up but I've never used it, also an electric kettle and toaster.

The main outboard is a Yamaha Enduro 40 hp (2 stroke) it's reliable, has a remote throttle and a manual tilt, great for keeping her out of the water. I have a host of manuals and receipts/history to go with her.The cool box in the pics is included and has a regular lid plus a 12v one that just needs wiring in. She doesn't have a BSS and I don't think needs much doing to get one I just haven't had the time this year and all my spare time went on days out. Viewings will have to be by appointment only and the only reason I'm selling her is because I have now bought another boat and haven't time for both.
