Speedboat Wellcraft 196 Eclipse Mercruiser 4.3 V6 Alpha One Leg

Plenty of summer left! If you are looking for a great fun starter speed boat that you can take up to 8 people in comfortably then this is the perfect item for you. I found this boat sitting at the back of a boat yard where i can only guess it had been sat for several years semi undercover. It was winter, i fancied a project so i purchased the boat. By the time i had got it back to my warehouse the original trailer had basically fallen apart so first purchase, an Extreme EXT 3000 roller coaster twin axle trailer (brand new purchase from the distributor by myself) it easily fits this boat on and i don't even use the extension rollers on the rear (will be supplied with the boat and trailer).

Then began the fun! The engine was completely stripped down, heads were sent to a specialist for new valves, seals and full testing, nearly every component on the engine was replaced, brand new carb (imported from america) new dizzy, leads, plugs, coils, you name it we changed it. Then the boat was used for a few times to check the engine was all fine before stage two. The boat is a fiberglass hull but as most boats of this age it had a wooden floor and sub floor/frame. In short this was completely rotten.

The entire boat was stripped of all the wood and everything replaced with quality marine ply. Under the floor all of the "stringers and runners" were replaced and re fiberglassed. Before the floor went down the fuel lines were replaced and the fuel tank pressure tested. Boyance foam was then poured into every compartment and the floor replaced with thick 21mm Marine ply, additional supports were installed under the floor around the seating areas and then the whole inside of the boat had a new fiberglass floor fitted with grip sand in the mix. New floor access panel was also installed.

All of the wood in the seating was replaced and the side panels. You won't find any original wood! The boat has a VHF radio and a fish finder (the kids love watching the fish on it!!) twin leisure batteries, quality CD-Radio and new weath proof speakers. The seats on the left fold flat to make sun lounger and you can lie on the rear section for another sun lounger. The canopy cover is great if you "drop anchor" and want a bit of shade from the sun.

Speed wise, it does around 40 - 45 mph so its not for the faint hearted. You can pull any sort of toys with this and not even know they are there! The boat isn't immaculate, it has a few marks on the sides and one of the front seat bases needs stitching. You can launch and recover this boat single handed with the winch on the trailer without any problem. The trailer has always been washed and greased after use and the boat fully flushed (i have the baffles to go with it).

The boat has always been kept inside since the refurbishment. Why am i selling it, I have now purchased a motor home and that's the plan for the next few years so the other summer toys have to go as i have run out of room in my warehouse! Any questions then please don't hesitate to ask.
