Wellcraft Martinique 2400 for sale with trailer. £7500 is the starting price with no reserve after that. Please read the listing fully before messaging or bidding. I have owned the boat for 2 and a half years. When I purchased it it was on a mooring in Burnham marina Essex.
My intention was to tow the boat to Turkey and leave it out there at a marina. Literally the day before we were due to leave the world went into lockdown pretty much. So the boat was put back in the water last season but only used a handful of times. The boat is on dry land on its trailer in storage. She is located on Mersea island Colchester essex.
I bought the trailer purposely to tow to Turkey and is substantial! (decent car for towing needed). Ideally I want them both to go as a package as it will be a pain to separate them without a crane, which I don’t have. The trailer is a twin axle braked trailer with working lights and a brand new spare wheel and tyre. It cost £2500 2000 boat with the 5 litre V8 petrol engineBoat is 7.30 metres in length and 2.60 metres width.Capable of 21 to 30 knotsGood sociable layout inside and out with plenty of seating for entertaining and chilling.
Plenty of cup holders and storage on board. Fresh water holding tank and shower outside to wash down deck. Comes with at least 6 fenders and plenty of new braided rope.Garmin nav and fish finder. Fridge, oven, microwave - all in working order. Separate toilet with storage tank and shower.
The boat sleeps 4 comfortably with a double bed and seating area that converts into a second double. Upholstery is in a fair condition with no rips or tears. Just needs a clean. The canopy is intact but could either do with some attention to one of the clear plastic sections or replacing in the near future. Good condition winter cover. It has an anchor with chain and rope stowed on the bow.
Not an electric windlass ( manual anchor deployment). There are 2 batteries in the engine compartment and some kind of self charging thing?! Not sure how this works but it seemed to work ok for us. Bad points…. The engine overheated when we were out on it one afternoon and we got a tow back to our mooring.
A marine engineer came out to see it and advised it had a cracked exhaust manifold and various other parts to get it back on the water. The engine starts but has not been run for long after the overheating. Without having the engine removed to inspect fully the engineer could not say the exact extent of the damage. He did advise replacing the 2 risers and both manifolds. I don’t have the interest in the boat anymore to have this work done so it’s time to move it on.
This would be a good project boat for someone who knows their way around boats and mechanics. There is probably loads of positive things I have not added about the boat but I have tried to be honest about it’s condition. Please be aware that you should not launch this boat until you have had it inspected. It was floating when we had it taken out of the water - the hull is sound. There was no water in the engine compartment.
There is an auto bilge. I have a folder of past receipts dating back to its original purchase price along with the most recent bill of sale. Thanks for reading and hopefully someone who knows what they are doing can get this boat back up and running at its best. It really is a nice sized boat for entertaining and socialising which is the reason we bought it. Good for pulling water toys with the kids.
