Zodiac Bombard Explorer WB385 Rib Speed Boat Yamaha 30 Hp - Just Serviced !

For sale reluctantly is my Zodiac Bombard Explorer WB385 RIB 4M with a fantastic Yamaha 30 HP 2 stroke Autolube with electric start, power tilt and trim - just serviced at dealer with receipt. The boat comes with a recent purpose built lightweight aluminium trailer with good winch and rollers and extra wide sand tyres for easy launching. Also included is a set of replacement tubes so future proof ! The Boat; This is a proper RIB ( no air hull). These boats have a great reputation and are very seaworthy for a small RIB.

The tubes on the RIB are in good order although there are some marks/stains underneath which should clean up but nothing that detracts from the way the boat looks. The RIB has seating for 4 people The engine: The boat comes with a fantastic Yamaha 30 HP 2 stroke Autolube outboard motor with electric start, power tilt and trim - just had a comprehensive ( May 2019) at a dealer with receipt so running well. Service items included brand new plugs and oils including gear oil. The dealer stated that these engines were hard to find in this condition and that this one was "the best he'd seen in a long time" Auto lube means that the 2 stroke oil is fed from a separate tank on the engine so no need to premix fuel. Just add unleaded to the main fuel tank.

The engine gives a better power to weight ratio than would be the case with a 4 stroke 30HP and will push the boat along in excess of 25 knots.. and it sounds great. It's economical too. Ive had several hours on the water and not used more than £20 worth of fuel. There is a spare Yamaha key and the system is fitted with a killcord for safety. The trailer: To complete the package, boat and engine come on a lightweight aluminium roller trailer with good winch and and extra wide sand tyres for easy launching.

The trailer alone is worth £1,000 (not the usual dangerous 30 year old rust crate thrown in to sell the boat). The package can easily be launched and retrieved by one person ( I'm in my late 50's) even from a sandy beach so no messing around with tractors or having to reverse your expensive 4 x 4 into the sea. Free replacement Tube Set: Also included is a free set of replacement tubes ( grey) which the previous owner bought. The existing red tubes are perfectly useable and I like the colour but if you fancy a change to grey or if the tubes need changing in the future then this set will come in handy. These are still boxed as supplied by Chas Newens Marine Co (Bombard Main Dealer).

They were apparently used as demo for a show before being re packaged. But believed to be grey colour. I have been told that on this model, the tubes can be removed and replaced via an in build sliding rail system that means that they don't have to be glued into place. This is a great package - a proper RIB with V Hull, superb engine running as it should. Easy to launch and use plus great fun !

I'll be sad to see her go but my wife prefers something more sedate so I have purchased a cruiser for the canal network ! No silly offers please. This boat is not a project. Its a great useable package that has been looked after and i know that i'll probably regret selling her but the money is needed elsewhere, £2,995 Cash on Collection from Stockport SK6.
