Weather helm is also created by incredibly poor sail setting and balance.
My Oystercatcher 16 does not suffer from bad weather helm, just people who havn't yet learned how to sail a cutter rigged gaffer. They generally haul the mainsail in too tight and fail to set the jib and foresail properly to create the correct slot balance.
