Good morning, I have just sold my lovely 1936 cutter and are looking for a more practical boat. In the early 1990s we built a steel yacht in Gozo, (the island off Malta). She gave us no problems, maintenance wise and under new ownership has sailed through the northwest passage, arownd N. America and back.I’m tell you this just so you know that I do understand the for and against with steel boats and what it will take to finish the job and I’m still interested. My first Question is, is she still for sail? If yes, what sort of steel was she built with and thickness, I assume the deck is ply wood on steel deck beams and what sort of primers have you used on the steel? That will do for now. All the best. Richard
