Classic Wooden River Cruiser, Original, 1934 Boat

Http://www.nationalhistoricships.org.uk/register/3480/impala 34' cruiser built by Staniland of Thorne in 1934.I bought this lovely old boat last January, but currently in the process of starting up 2 businesses, coupled with working part time abroad, means I just don't have the time to enjoy/restore/maintain her so have taken the decision to sell.Very original condition, all original navigation lights, oil lit compass, brass twin telegraph, searchlight, head, etc. Even has all the original cabin lights and toggle switches although these are boxed.recent paint and antifoul.Pitch pine on sistered oak ribs, with teak detailing and wheelhouse.Twin BMC 2.5 l diesels, which although look great with lots of brass etc, could do with an overhaul.I've had both running, but one smokes a bit on idle.Hard to find a better looking boat than this, accommodation consists of: chain locker containing 20 gallon fresh water tank, twin forward berth, original head, galley, saloon, wheelhouse with engines under, and aft twin berth. Fuel tanks under aft deck. Lots of other stuff like sat nav and depth finder but these are in boxes and I've never tested them.She has a berth at the Albert dock in Liverpool city centre, World heritage site. Great location.

It costs £42 a week.There are plenty of liveaboard vessels in the dock so a great opportunity for a bolt hole in a prime location.There's a very good boat yard in the dock system offering anything from lift out/towing to repairs.I've stripped out the lighting wiring and the non original T&G, re canvassed the wheelhouse roof, paint and antifoul, minor repairs etc. To do:a few of the oak deck supports have rotted at the ends, ideally these could do with repair, there is one across the aft deck at the rear of the aft cabin needs doubling up or replacingthere are a few drips from the decks, although these can be minimised with regular varnishing, either canvassing the decks or re caulking would be best.engines would benefit from an overhaul, loose gear solenoid needs a screw on port enginenew batteries needed freshen up inside, paint, rewire for lighting, gas cooker needs replacing.re attach navigation lights re install some T&G to wheelhouse and aft cabinSaloon seating ply on port side requires repairthere is a wood burning stove included, if it is to be used, would need re installingIf I think of anything else I'll add it. The berth has electric and water, no problem doing work in situ.alternatively, could transport to most of mainland for about £2000 including lift out. Batteries not great so you may need to bring some to see engines running. This is a gorgeous boat, and with the usual maintenance will continue to be, she deserves to go to someone with the time to maintain and enjoy her!
